Title Industry...
hal extends
its Title Plant Support
The hal programming staff has been hard at work extending the support
for Title Plant application in halFILE for Windows. These new extension
have been bundled into release 1.3SQL and include:

Base Edit Property features.
Custom data entry screens have been created for Township-Range and Subdivision-Block-Lot
property types. These make data entry easier with greater validation. If
you currently have these fields, a conversion is necessary to combine them
into the Base Edit format.

Prior Reference Lookups.
This feature lets you set up Search so halFILE will automatically search
for documents listed in the prior reference field.

Pending Order Subsytem.
This system helps identify documents that come through the system between
the time the initial Title Search is performed and the Closing.

Closing Package Support.
You can integrate halFILE with the following closing packages available
from First Data Systems: Aim for Windows, DataClose and TitleTrac.

Plant Certification Date.
This feature lets you restrict searches to find only documents that have
been certified through a given Plant Date.

Smart Name Search.
Set up a dictionary of alias names and Smart Name Search will search for
all the aliases. For example, if you perform a Smart Name search for 'Doe,
John', the system will search for 'Doe, John,' 'Doe, Jon,' 'Doe, Johnny,'
and 'Doe, Johnnie.'

Short Cut Names.
Speed up data entry by defining a short cut code for commonly used Grantors
and Grantees. For instance, you can enter 'FNB' and the system will fill
in the Grantor with 'First National Bank.'
