A new halFILE feature lets you quickly add your Microsoft Office documents into halFILE. Here’s how it works.
 

North Star Title of Excelsior, Minnesota recently became the first e.halFILE installation (and hal’s 162nd imaging installation!). hal Systems worked with First Data Systems to install Optical Access in the home office to scan documents. These documents are then immediately available to users in Northstar’s  Golden Valley office across the private  corporate intranet using Netscape and e.halFILE.

In 1998, Savetime Solutions, Inc. of Portland, Oregon, was awarded a 3-year contract to provide imaging and COLD solutions to 45 community colleges in the Pacific Northwest by the Washington State Public Higher Education Institutions.  WinImage for Windows, a product produced by hal Systems Corporation of Dallas and resold by Savetime Solutions, has now been installed at five of these colleges. This report highlights some of the benefits enjoyed by three of these colleges.

The Fiscal Accounting Division of the Texas Department of Health in Austin, Texas is the latest organization to win hal’s Million Image Award for scanning over one million images into halFILE. Kevin Hutchinson of the Fiscal Department was presented with a handsome plaque recognizing the efforts of the department. 

As new halFILE systems are installed, the programming staff of hal Systems is often faced with the problem of converting old data into a halFILE database. This is a very difficult, complex and time-consuming task but it has been our policy to do all that we can to bring this data forward into halFILE's powerful client/server databases.
