SoftPro Corporation, Raleigh, North Carolina, has agreed to resell halFILE. The software firm, which offers a mature suite of products, designed specifically for the closing and title industry, hopes to take advantage of halFILE's ability to extract information from SoftPro's ProForm Closing and Title Insurance Forms package to provide and integrated solution to its customers. They are also impressed with halFILE's ability to conform to many different applications and have begun to use halFILE in-house to scan and file paper documents such as invoices.

The halFILE/ProForms integration occurs as documents are indexed in halFILE. The user enters the Document's file number and, based on set up parameters, data is extracted from the ProForm file and placed into halFILE index fields. These fields are then searchable making halFILE a powerful search engine for Closed Files.
